Even as a young girl, Ann has been fascinated with color, textures and form. This passion grew over the years and lead her to graduate from The Rhode Island School of Design and then onto New York where she worked as a decorative painter for some of the country's leading designers. Her color sensibilities also brought her to the attention of Valspar paints where she served in bringing their color messaging to the public. Her work has been seen in some of the top interior and fashion magazines including Architectural Digest, Veranda, Elle Decor, Vogue, W, Town and Country, etc.
It is her ongoing dream to bring beauty to others through the studio projects. Inspiration can come from anywhere but a deep ongoing respect for the natural world serves as the greatest source. It is this respect for nature that also drives the studio's commitment to an environmentally responsible approach; using all water based paints and inks as well as sourcing sustainable foundation materials. Ann lives in the countryside with her husband and two children where she spent her own childhood summers. Here the studio was launched; bringing together local artists to create the textiles of AMS.
